Variegated Rusty Bottom Fig (ficus rubiginosa variegata)

Hardiest of the rubber trees, It does not develop the aerial roots which some others do. Forming a dense tight canopy of medium green variegated with cream-yellow, smooth leaves, the undersides of which are brown and hairy. Rusty Fig’s dense growth habit and moderate growth rate make it well suited for smaller landscapes and easily pruned and maintained. Planted in-ground this ficus makes a wonderful focal point, normally growing to 20 feet in height with a 10 foot crown at maturity in South Florida and Southern Cal.
